How do Porcelain Veneers work?
Porcelain Veneers are lab made restorations, which cover the fronts of your teeth to improve their shape
Does it hurt?
In most cases, anaesthesia is required during the procedure to make it pain free. Following the treatment, some patients experience mild sensitivity afterwards which subsides when the teeth settle.
How long does it take?
Because porcelain veneers are much more long term restorations, we like to give our patients a trial smile before going to the final porcelain work.
This gives you a chance to test drive the new smile in a temporary material, before approving the final design.
As a result of all the planning and trial smiles, porcelain veneers can take up to 4 weeks from start to finish.
How long does it last?
When following the correct protocol, porcelain veneers can last anywhere between 10-20 years or longer if they are well looked after.
