Aura Dental Clinic – Attendance Policy

At Aura Dental Clinic, we are committed to providing high-quality dental care while ensuring efficient scheduling for all our patients. To maintain fairness and availability for everyone, we have implemented the following attendance policy regarding appointment cancellations and rescheduling.

1. Cancellation Policy

  • Patients are allowed up to two (2) short-notice cancellations within a 12-month period.
  • A short-notice cancellation is defined as cancelling or rescheduling an appointment less than 48 hours (2 days) before the scheduled time.

2. How to Cancel or Reschedule

  • Cancellations must be made via a phone call to the practice.
  • Emails and SMS responses to appointment reminders are not accepted as valid cancellation methods. Our reminder messages are sent from a no-reply system, meaning responses will not be received or processed.

3. Consequences of Multiple Short-Notice Cancellations

  • NHS Patients: Patients who cancel at short notice more than twice may be de-registered from our NHS patient list and may not be offered further NHS appointments at the practice.
  • Private Patients: After two (2) short-notice cancellations, private patients will be required to repay their booking fee before securing any future appointments.

4. Missed Appointments (No-Shows)

  • Failure to attend an appointment without prior notice may be classified as a missed appointment and could result in a fee or loss of future booking privileges.
